Garfield has become terribly unfunny as of late, but this collab certainly shines a new light on the style of the comics with quite interesting results. May I ask what exactly was happening in the third animation? {the one which is simply Garfield in bed}

It was an orange, made to look like Garfield, and it was slowly growing mold over the course of several days. It's more stop-motion than Flash, but whatever.
